Nettle is a free Discord bot. It helps your server with support tickets, role panels, giveaways, polls, voice channels, games and keeping order.

It is free. You pick the server. Discord shows you what Nettle asks for before anything happens.

Heads up. Nettle itself speaks Romanian. Every command, button and message the bot sends is in Romanian.

Opening in steps. Before the launch, only /about (anywhere) and /serverprofile (Administrator only) are live on servers. At launch, the full command list is published to every server automatically. Launch day is .

What Nettle can do

Support tickets Available

Members open a private channel with your team from a panel menu. Your team claims the ticket, can add or remove people, hand it over to a colleague and close it, and the conversation is posted as a transcript in the channel you choose.

ExampleA member picks "Report a player" on the panel, answers up to three short questions, and a private channel opens with the team of that category.

Good to know

Team members need one of the category's roles; only the person who claimed a ticket (or an admin) can close it or manage its members.

Role panels, giveaways, polls and birthdays Available

The everyday tools of a community server in one bot. Panels where members pick their own roles, giveaways with entry requirements, polls with menu voting, and birthday announcements.

ExamplePost a panel with your notification roles as buttons, start a 12 hour giveaway for members who joined at least 7 days ago, and let Nettle wish happy birthday around 10 AM Romania time.

Good to know

Nettle's highest role must sit above every role it hands out, and the person building a panel must also be above those roles (the owner is exempt).

Games and fun Available

Nine games right inside Discord. Slots, blackjack, mines, street dice, card war, hangman, snake, rock paper scissors and tic-tac-toe, several of them playable against Nettle or as a duel with a friend. Plus quick fun commands like 8ball, ship, dice, coin flip and friendly roleplay actions.

ExampleChallenge a friend to /barbut with 100 chips each, or try to beat Nettle at /xo on the hard level.

Good to know

Games with a bet use chips, which have no real value (see Chips).

Moderation and the spam trap Available

Ban (also by ID), kick, timeout, slow mode and bulk delete with clear confirmations and the reason written to Discord's audit log. The honeypot is a trap channel. Spam accounts that post in it are caught automatically.

ExampleCreate an empty channel nobody has a reason to write in, run /honeypot seteaza on it with the Ban action, and exempt your staff role with /honeypot scutire.

Good to know

Permissions come from Discord only.

Temporary voice channels Available

Members join one "door" channel and get their own voice channel, which disappears when everyone leaves. The owner of the channel controls it from a panel. Name, user limit, status, lock, unlock, allow, block and invite.

ExampleSomeone joins the door channel and is moved into a new channel named after them; when the last person leaves, the channel is deleted.

Up to 25 temporary channels at a time per server, and anti-spam limits on creating, renaming and inviting.

Media conversion, emoji and stickers Available

Convert pictures, PDFs, audio and video between common formats without leaving Discord, grab any custom emoji as an image, and turn a picture into a server sticker in one step.

Example/convert with a PNG attached, then choose JPG or PDF from the panel; /sticker add with a picture, a name and a matching emoji.

Good to know

Files up to 25 MB, results up to 9 MB, audio and video up to 6 minutes, documents up to 20 pages; the type is checked from the file's content, not its name.

Everyday tools and setup Available

Small tools members actually use. A calculator, time in any city, Discord timestamps, colour codes, QR codes, reminders, server, role and channel info, a message builder for announcements, and two right-click actions on any message (save it to your DMs, or turn it into a quote picture). /setari shows the owner what Nettle can do on the server and what permissions it is missing.

Example/amintire pune cand:în 2 ore text:Scoate prăjitura din cuptor, and two hours later Nettle pings you in the same channel.

Good to know

Reminders. From 1 minute to 30 days ahead, at most 300 characters, at most 10 pending per person; they are delivered in the channel where they were set, with a ping only for you, never by DM.
