Nettle is still being built. We will add, change and remove features. Commands will get new names. Sometimes things will break. That is what a beta is, a version that is still being built and tested. Nothing here is final, and we will update these terms as the bot grows.
If you add Nettle to a Discord server, or use any of its commands, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree with them, remove Nettle from your server and stop using it.
1. What Nettle is
Nettle is a free app (a bot) for Discord. It gives servers support tickets, roles that members can pick for themselves, giveaways and polls. On servers where they are turned on, it also gives community and game features. These are levels, leaderboards, a pretend currency that exists only in the game, the games that use it, and tools for moderators. Nettle is run by a small team in Romania. It is not a company.
The game currency is not money. You cannot buy it. You cannot sell it. You cannot trade it for anything that has value in the real world. It has no value outside the server it belongs to. Nothing in Nettle is for sale.
2. Who may use it
You must be old enough to use Discord. That means at least 13, or older if the law where you live says so. You must also follow the Discord Terms of Service (opens in a new tab) and the Discord Community Guidelines (opens in a new tab). Adding Nettle does not free you from either of them.
3. Adding Nettle to a server
Only add Nettle to servers you are allowed to manage. Whoever adds it is responsible for how it is set up. This includes which roles it gives out and who can see ticket transcripts (the written copies of closed tickets).
4. What you may not do
You must not do any of these things.
- Use Nettle to break Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
- Use Nettle to harass, threaten or cheat anyone, or to pretend to be someone else.
- Open tickets to spam, to flood a server's staff, or to abuse them.
- Try to overload Nettle, disrupt it, take it apart to see how it is made, or get into Nettle or the computers it runs on without permission.
- Use self-bots (user accounts run by a program) or scripts to use Nettle's commands automatically.
- Sell Nettle to others, or show it as your own product.
5. Blocking and removal
We may block any user or any server from using Nettle, with or without warning, if these terms are broken or if Nettle is being misused. Server admins can also block single users from opening tickets on their own server.
6. Nettle can stop working and can change, said honestly
Nettle is free and you get it as it is. We do not promise that it will be online, that it will have no mistakes, or that it will never stop. It restarts, it is sometimes offline, and it has bugs (mistakes in how it works).
It also changes all the time. Commands are added, renamed and removed. Features are made again in a new way, or dropped if they do not work out. Settings you chose may need to be set again after a change. Limits may be added where there were none. We will try to announce anything important on the support server first, but we do not promise a warning for every change. We may change or stop any part of Nettle, or all of it, at any time.
Do not use Nettle as the only place where something important to you is kept. Keep your own copy of anything important.
7. What you write
What you write through Nettle stays yours. This includes messages in tickets. You give us only what Nettle needs to work. That is the permission to keep and show what you write, in the ways our Privacy Policy describes.
8. Losses and damage
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using Nettle. This includes lost data, lost transcripts, missed giveaways, roles given or taken away by mistake, and times when Nettle is offline. Nettle is a free tool, made by a small team in good faith (with honest intentions).
Some laws protect you as a consumer, and no agreement can take those rights away. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. When they do, the date at the top changes, and important changes are announced on our support server (opens in a new tab). If you keep using Nettle after a change, that means you accept the new terms.
10. Which law applies
The laws of Romania apply to these terms. You still keep any protection that the laws of the country you live in give you and that cannot be set aside.
